Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024-25: Empowering Meritorious Girls from Low-Income Families
The Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024-25, introduced under the CSR initiative for Education & Livelihood by the Kotak Mahindra Group Companies, is now open for applications. This scholarship aims to support and empower meritorious girl students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by helping them pursue higher studies in professional fields after completing Class 12. Kotak Education Foundation envisions a future where financial constraints do not hinder promising students from achieving their dreams.
Scholarship Eligibility
To qualify for the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024-25, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Gender: Open exclusively for female students across India.
- Academic Performance: Must have achieved a minimum of 75% or equivalent CGPA in Class 12 board exams.
- Family Income: Applicant’s family annual income should not exceed INR 6,00,000.
- Admission Status: Must have secured admission in the first year of a recognized professional degree program for the academic year 2024-25. Eligible programs include:
- Engineering, MBBS, BDS
- Integrated LLB (5 Years)
- B.Sc. Nursing, B. Pharmacy
- Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research at prestigious institutions such as ISER, IISc (Bangalore)
- Other professional courses in fields like Design, Architecture, etc.
- Institute Requirements: The enrolled institute should have accreditation from bodies like NIRF or NAAC.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive financial assistance of up to INR 1.5 lakh per year to cover their educational expenses.
Note: The renewal of this scholarship each year is subject to the discretion of the Kotak Education Foundation.
